BAR ASSOCIATION DODA EXTENT THE SHRIKE IN DEFINITELY  BY ABID PAMPORI  Doda Oct. 27:-An extra ordinary meeting of esteemed Bar Members of Distt. Bar Association Doda was held today under the presidentship of Gh. Hassan Patigaroo  Sr. Advocate, wherein the stand already taken with respect to the appointment of APP Doda, was reiterated. The members of Distt. Bar Association Doda showed their utmost dissatisfaction towards the fact that even though putting Department of Law, Justice 86 Parliamentary Affairs 86 Distt. Magistrate Doda to notice, regarding the appointment of APP Doda, no steps have been taken in this regard till date nor the Distt. Bar Association Doda has been informed about any progress in the said matter, despite the fact that the Distt. Bar Association Doda is on strike since 21-10-2017. Further that the members of Distt. Bar Association Doda have unanimously resolved to extend the strike indefinitely till the demand of appointing APP Doda from  the members of Distt.

Community Mobilization Programme held at Bhagwah BY ABID PAMPORI  Doda, Oct 24: To strengthen the functioning of Village Level Education Committees and to apprise them about their role and responsibilities, Block Lok Shiksha Simitee Bhagwah, in collaboration with Zonal Education Office Bhagwah, organized one-day Community Mobilization Programme of Volunteer Teachers and Preraks at Government Upper Primary School Bhagwah, here today. BDO Bhagwah Mudassir Iqbal Naik was the chief guest of the programme. He exhorted the VTs/Preraks/PRI to work for the noble cause and to uplift the society dragging it out of the darkness of illiteracy. Bar Association Held Meeting at Doda  BY ABID PAMPORI  Doda::Today on 23 of October 2017 an emergent meeting of district Bar Association Doda was held under Preseidentship of Advocate Ghulam Hassan Ratigaroo, in the meeting it was decided that the district Bar Association Doda will continue the District Bar 27 the of October 2017 regarding the appointment of Advocate Faried Beg as Public prosecutor additional sessions court Doda who is not the member of distinct Bar Association Doda. The Bar association Doda appealed the J&K law department to immediately remove the said public prosecutor and appoint any member of district bar Association Doda as Public prosecutors additional District and session court Doda . They also waged the chief justice J&K High Court to intervene in the matter.

Vice Principal HSS Ghat Varinder singh, Suraj Balraj Verma Lecturer Commerce, Mohd Hafiz Sheikh Master and other staff members were present on the occasion. Children's On The Spot Painting Competition held at Kishtwar BY ABID PAMPORI  Doda::A Children's On The Spot Painting Competition was organized by J&K Academy of Art, Cultural and Languages Sub Office Doda/Kishtwr at Islamia Faridia Hr. Sec. School Kishtwar. In which hundreds of students of Kishtwar area participated.  A total of Rs. 17400/= cash prizes and merit certificates were distributed among the participants who adjudged for 1st , 2nd , 3rd and consolation prizes in different categories.  In the competition the participants were categorized in four groups (Infant group up to 7 years of age , Junior  group between 7 plus and 11 years , Senior group between 11 plus and 16 years  and Amateur group  16 plus and 22 years of age.)  In Infant group Humera Mansoor Malik of Islamia Faridia Hr. Sec. School Kishtwar, Mohd. Musaib  Baagwan of National Academy Kishtwar and Mahi Sharma of Little Angels School Kishtwar  were adjudged for  three equal prizes of Rs. 1050/= each.

Degree College Doda and department of Wildlife, government of Jammu and Kashmir concluded today.  The event was kick-start Ed on 2nd October through a signature campaign by Principal GDC Doda Dr Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi in presence of Prof Babu Ram, Dr J. I Tramboo Dr Ajaz Ahmad, Prof Bashir Ahmed, Dr Wahied K Balwan, Dr Jamsheed Ahmad and Dr Imtiyaz Ahmed. All the faculty members and students participated in the signature campaign. An intra-college Urdu quiz competition was organised at Govt Degree College Doda BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::The quiz was organised under the aegis of the Literary Club in collaboration with the department of Urdu GDC Doda.  Four teams participated in the competition and the winners were appreciated by the principal Dr Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi in his address. Later on  mementos, certificates and general knowledge books were distributed among the participants. The principal lauded the efforts of the faculty and assured the students that they would be given suitable platforms to nourish their talents. Prof. Balwan of GDC Doda published a new book BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::Noted academician and writer, Dr. Wahied Khawar Balwan presently working as Senior Assistant Professor of Zoology at Govt. Degree College Doda has again brought laurels to his institute and Chenab valley by publishing a book on " Apiculture" based on skill enhancement Course as per syllabus prescribed by University of Jammu. The book will be helpful to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Zoology Students and has been published by Malhotra publishers, Jammu. Dr. Balwan has already published about twenty reference books, text books and practical books in the field of biological sciences at this young stage.It is also pertinent to mention here that Dr. Balwan apart from helping the student community in one or other way has also been awarded many teaching and research awards, certificates of excellence, gold medals and young scientist awards at state and national level.

Degree College Doda under the supervision of Dr. Ajaz A.Wani HoD zoology and able guidence of principal Dr.Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi started wildlife week  from 02 October to 08 October 2017. The event was kick-started through a signature campaign by Dr Rafiqi in presence of Dr J. I Tramboo, Dr Wahied K Balwan, Dr Jamsheed Ahmad and Dr Akhtar Hussain. All the faculty members and students participated in the signature campaign. Later on Dr Rafiqi addressed the gathering and stressed upon the importance and conservation of wildlife. It is pertinent to mention here that the department  of zoology has planned different activities during this week.
