The inhabitants of Gawari  Koti in Doda , Shaja in Khalleni  and Upper Rehnote of  Jodhpur were demanding up gradation of transformer as the power supply to these areas was not adequate. MLA Doda conceded the public demand and finally 63 kv transformers were provided out of CDF to the above mentioned locations. Doda, Kishtwar districts grappling with shortage of doctors 'Health Deptt in deep slumber' BY ABID PAMPORI Doda, Jan 16: The tall claims of Health Department to improve health services in hilly districts have fallen flat with the fact that out of 438 sanctioned posts of doctors in the erstwhile Doda district 226 post lying vacant. As per information, the district wise sanctioned strength of posts and vacancies position in Doda district a total number of sanctioned posts of doctors is 215 and posts filled up 113 while 102 lying vacant. In Kishtwar district the number of sanctioned posts were 101, filled up posts 50, vacant 51.Ramban district sanctioned strength 122, posts filled 73 and 49 posts are vacant.  The above mentioned facts clearly indicate that there is acute shortage of doctors in erstwhile Doda district and the same is the case with other regions of the state also. DDC Reviews implementation of Pulse Polio BY ABID PAMPORI  Doda, January 16th:- District Development Commissioner Doda Bhawani Rakwal today  convened a meeting of District Task Force to discuss modalities for effective implementation of intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme (Phase-1st) scheduled to be held on 28th January 2018.  During the meeting, CMO Doda Dr Wajid Ali Najar, gave power point presentation and briefed about preparedness of Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization phase 1st round is scheduled on 28th of January 2018. The said ASI was martyred few days ago at Sopore in IED blast. The funeral of said ASI was attended by SSP Doda, Dc Doda, and other officials of police department besides large number of civil person.
