Children's On The Spot Painting Competition held at Kishtwar

Doda::A Children's On The Spot Painting Competition was organized by J&K Academy of Art, Cultural and Languages Sub Office Doda/Kishtwr at Islamia Faridia Hr. Sec. School Kishtwar. In which hundreds of students of Kishtwar area participated. 

A total of Rs. 17400/= cash prizes and merit certificates were distributed among the participants who adjudged for 1st , 2nd , 3rd and consolation prizes in different categories.  In the competition the participants were categorized in four groups (Infant group up to 7 years of age , Junior  group between 7 plus and 11 years , Senior group between 11 plus and 16 years  and Amateur group  16 plus and 22 years of age.) 

In Infant group Humera Mansoor Malik of Islamia Faridia Hr. Sec. School Kishtwar, Mohd. Musaib  Baagwan of National Academy Kishtwar and Mahi Sharma of Little Angels School Kishtwar  were adjudged for  three equal prizes of Rs. 1050/= each.

In Junior group Ruder Partap Singh of SDM School Kishtwar was adjudged for 1st prize of Rs 1350/= , Mudassir of Neelam Academy Kishtwar for 2nd prize of Rs. 1050/= and three consolation prizes of Rs. 750/= each were given to Shiveta Sharma of SDM School Kishtwar,  Zobia of Islamia Faridia Hr. Sec. School Kishtwar and Sayqa Shaheena of National Academy Kishtwar.

In Senior group Sabahat Fatima of Green Model School Kishtwar was adjudged for 1st prize of Rs. 1500/= , Zenzin Angmoo of Little Angels School Kishtwar  for 2nd prize of Rs. 1050/= and three consolation prizes of Rs. 750/= each were given to Tabeem Roshan Batt of Asraria Valley School Kishtwar, Irtiqa Akhter of Islamia Faridia Hr. Sec. School Kishtwar and Renum Fatima of SDM School Kishtwar. 

In Amateur group Jaisha Rasool of Islamia Faridia Hr. Sec. School Kishtwar was adjudged for 1st prize of Rs. 2100/= , Nashra Rasool Dev of Islamia Faridia Hr. Sec. School Kishtwar for 2nd prize of Rs 1500/= and Bushra Iqbal of Green Model School Kishtwar  for 3rd prize of Rs. 1200/=.

Mr. Garbi Rasheed Dar, Additional  Commissioner (Development) Kishtwar was the Chief Guest while Mr Phulail Singh Bandral , District  Social Welfare Officer Kishtwar was the Guest of Honour beside them Hafiz Bashir I/C  Principal Islamia Faridia Hr. Sec. School Kishtwar and other staff members were also present on this occasion.

At the end Mr Slah-ud-Din Tahir Cultural Officer J&K Cultural Academy Sub Office Doda,  thanked the all educational institutions of Kishtwar and dministration of Islamia Faridia Hr. Sec. School Kishtwar for their cooperation in organising the competition successfully. He also thanked the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour for there presence on this occasion.

Doda Boy Gazi Bashir Wani Awarded Gold Medal By Kashmir University. BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  Gazi Bashir Wani S/O Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Shakeela Begum of Ghat village in Doda district has been awarded  gold medal  at the  convocation of Kashmir University  today. He was the topper from Central University Kashmir in mathematics and got first position by securing 93 % marks in the year 2015-16. Relatives and friendshave congratulated Mr Gazi and his family on this grand success.Majid Ali waniand Naseera Akthar from Ghat have expressed joy and happiness  and conveyed their best wishes and congratulations to him.
