POLICE COMMEMORATION DAY CELEBRATED IN DISTRICT POLICE LINE DODA

Doda:: Today on 21st October 2017, the Police Commemoration Day was celebrated at District Police Lines, Doda in the memory of Martyrs, who have scarified their lives for the peace and tranquility of nation, The programe was witnessed by the NoKs of Police martyrs and other Officers of Police/Paramilitary /Civil Administration. The contingents of CRPF 76th Bn / IRP 5th Bn and District Police Doda participated in the commemoration day parade.

A rich floral tribute was offered for the eternal peace of the Martyrs by Sh. Mohammad Shabir, SSP Doda, other dignitaries and beloved of Martyrs. The names of Martyrs of last one year were read by SSP Doda and rich tributes was paid to all Martyrs.  After commemoration Day parade tea was served and a interaction session was held with the family members of Martyrs in order to familiarize them about the schemes, which have been launched by the Government for the welfare of NoKs of Martyrs. Also addressed their grievances pertaining to Police, Civil and other departments.  They were assured that District Police Doda is always standing with them shoulder to shoulder and eager to help the NoKs of Police Martyrs.

Haq Nawaz Nehru, Sh. Zafrullah Rather, Sh. Gajja Singh Rana, Sh. Asif Jaan Gathu and Sh. Chuni Lal were also present on the occasion

Doda Boy Gazi Bashir Wani Awarded Gold Medal By Kashmir University. BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  Gazi Bashir Wani S/O Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Shakeela Begum of Ghat village in Doda district has been awarded  gold medal  at the  convocation of Kashmir University  today. He was the topper from Central University Kashmir in mathematics and got first position by securing 93 % marks in the year 2015-16. Relatives and friendshave congratulated Mr Gazi and his family on this grand success.Majid Ali waniand Naseera Akthar from Ghat have expressed joy and happiness  and conveyed their best wishes and congratulations to him.
