EXTENSION LECTURE ON 'CAREER IN CIVIL SERVICES' ORGANISED AT GOVT DEGREE COLLEGE DODA PAMPORI NEWS AGENCY DODA  Doda::Guidance and Career Counseling Cell of GDC Doda organised an extension lecture on the theme 'Career in Civil Services'. Zuhaib Hassan  (DySP Traffic Doda-Kishtwar Axis) and Nayeem Ahmed (Tehsildar Land Records Regional Director Office Doda) delivered detailed lectures on the given topic. The brain storming lectures were followed by an interactive question-answer session with the students of the college. Principal GDC Doda Dr. Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi was the chief guest and Dr Jamsheed Ahmad conducted the proceedings of the event. In his address the Principal of the college thanked the resource persons and assured the students that more programmes shall be organised in future. Various social organisations have congratulated the parents and the school management for this outstanding performance of the duo. People have videly  appreciated the efforts of the management and teachers of Faridia Model HSS Doda in building the career of the young students. It is pertinent to mention here that Faridia Model School is one of the reputed institutions in Doda . Recently Dr Wahid Khawar Balwan and Dr Jamsheed Ahmed have taken over the responsibility of the governing body of the school and since then the school is achieving excellence in academics as well as co-curricular activities.

UCC Bhaderwah script convincing win in 14th Gufran T20 C'Ship BY ABID PAMPORI DODA, June 26: United Cricket Club (UCC) Bhaderwah trounced Combine Cricket Club (CCC) Doda by one wicket in the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2018 at Sports Stadium, here today. The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank. Batting first after winning the toss, CCC Ddoa scored a total of 139 runs by loosing all their wickets in 19.3 overs. Izhar Gattu was the top scored with 45 runa while Babar contributed 40 runs for his team. From UCC Bhaderwah Abir Butt and Adil Ganai scalped 04 and 02 wickets respectively. In reply, UCC Bhaderwah got the  success in achieving the stipulated target in 18.4 over by loosing their 09 wickets.  Rahul Sharma was the highest scorer who scored 67 runs while Azhar Sheikh contributed 20 runs for his team. Dewal School Dewal Mohalla located at a distance of 35k.m from the headquarter Doda lacks basic facility of drinking water.Four years have passed but the provision of water in the School is yet a distant dream. Due to non availability of water the  students have to go in open for toilet inspite of three washrooms available in the school.  Despite the fact that there is a water reservoir /gravity line of PHE Deptt. Available nearby. The school lacks drinking water facility. NCC Chattisgarh & CCC Doda script convincing wins in 14th Gufran T20 C'Ship BY ABID PAMPORI  DODA, June 25: Naidu Cricket Club (NCC) Chattisgarh and Combine Cricket Club (CCC) Doda trounced Maitra Cricket Club (MCC) Ramban and Young Star Academy  (YSA) Chattisgarh respectively in the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2018 at Sports Stadium, here today. The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank. The first match was played between NCC Chattisgar and MCC Ramban. Batting first after winning the toss, NCC Chattisgarh scored a total of 190 runs by loosing all their wickets in 19.4 overs. Aryan Kojta top scored with 44 runs while Akash Singh contributed 43 runs for his team. From MCC Ramban, Ravinder Singh, Jahangir Ahmed and Rajat Sharma shared 02 wickets each. BY ABID PAMPORI  Doda, June 23: Going tough against the culture of absenteeism and late coming in govt offices, District Development Commissioner Doda Bhawani Rakwal today issues suspension orders of 18 officers and officials of different department in the district as they remained absent from their legitimate duties without the prior approval/sanctioned leave from appropriate authority.  The action came after carrying out inspections of various offices in the whole district, on the directions from His Excellency The Governor's Office regarding punctuality in govt offices and the use of biometric attendance system compulsorily for all the employees working in the state.
