NCC Chattisgarh & CCC Doda script convincing wins in 14th Gufran T20 C'Ship

DODA, June 25: Naidu Cricket Club (NCC) Chattisgarh and Combine Cricket Club (CCC) Doda trounced Maitra Cricket Club (MCC) Ramban and Young Star Academy  (YSA) Chattisgarh respectively in the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2018 at Sports Stadium, here today.

The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank.

The first match was played between NCC Chattisgar and MCC Ramban.

Batting first after winning the toss, NCC Chattisgarh scored a total of 190 runs by loosing all their wickets in 19.4 overs. Aryan Kojta top scored with 44 runs while Akash Singh contributed 43 runs for his team. From MCC Ramban, Ravinder Singh, Jahangir Ahmed and Rajat Sharma shared 02 wickets each.

In reply, MCC Ramban bundled out for paltry total of 88 runs in 14.4 overs. Sandeep Singh scored 25 runs while Pawan contributed 15 runs. From  NCC Chattisgarh, Gitest Chauhan bagged 06 wickets whereas Manish Rai and Alok Singh shared 01 wicket each.

Gitest Chauhan of NCC Chattisgarh was declared as the man of the match for his best bowling performance.

The second match was played between CCC Doda and YSA Chattisgarh. Batting first, after winning the toss, CCC Doda scored a total of 248 runs in 19.1 overs for the loss of all their wickets. Vijay Kumar was the highest scorer who scored 54 runs while Babar contributed 44 runs for his tea.. From YSA Chattisgarh, Aditya Kesari was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 04 wickets while Kumar Partap and Aman Kumar claimed 2 wickets each.

In reply, YSA Chattisgarh team could not chase the given target was whole team was bundled out for partly 99 runs  in 18.4. Shashank Soni  top scored with 26 runs followed by Kumar Partap who contributed 20 runs for his team. From CCC Doda, Vijay Kumar bagged 03 wickets while Farooq Lone and Nayeem ul Haq claimed 02 wickets each.

Later on Vijay Kumar of CCC Doda was declared as the man of the match for his superb all round performance who was given cash prize and trophy by Dr Azhar Ali Balwan along with Vijay Sharma and Sandeep Kumar.

The matches were officiated by Ifroz Rather, Harish Raza and Yousuf Raza while Sandeep Kaushik acted as official scorer.
