Civil Society Anticipating  Cluster University for Doda .

Doda::The  demand  for the establishment of a Cluster University at Doda has been widely endorsed and people are hopeful of getting this persistent and genuine demand fulfilled soon.

    

The district headquarter Doda being a centrally located place has served as a center of activity since the erstwhile Doda district came into existence and keeping in view the topography and the age old communal harmony of Doda various   socio-cultural organizations , trade unions and student organizations have been demanding the establishment of a cluster university at Doda. Besides the  weather across Doda also remains favourable throughout the year.

 Recently the issue has been acclaimed politically and the public demand has been endorsed by the MLA Doda Sh Shakti Raj Parihar who has promised the people of Doda constituency to get this long pending demand fulfilled in near future. In this regard MLA Doda   brought the matter into the notice of the Dr Jitendra Singh hon'ble MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Govt of India and appealed him to intervene to get this genuine demand of people fulfilled. Dr Jitendra Singh also has taken the matter with Syed Altaf Bukhari Minister for education in J&K government and recommended to  establish the Cluster University at Doda which is a long pending demand of the people of Doda constituency.

    

 People of Doda have deep reverence for hon'ble MLA Doda Sh Shakti Raj Parihar and the Union MoS Dr Jitendra Singh who endorsed their long pending demand and now they are optimistic to get the university soon .

 It is pertinent to mention here that the  campuses of Jammu University and SKUAST have already been made functional at Bhaderwah and the campus of BGSB University is running at Kishtwar. Till date there is no off campus of any university at Doda thus the demand for Cluster University is most genuine .

   

Spokesperson Joint Civil Society Doda Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev and president Doda Development Front Ghulam Hassan Pampori have expressed their gratitude to MLA Doda Shakti Raj Parihar and Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh for giving impetus to this long pending demand of the people of Doda constituency .

Doda Boy Gazi Bashir Wani Awarded Gold Medal By Kashmir University. BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  Gazi Bashir Wani S/O Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Shakeela Begum of Ghat village in Doda district has been awarded  gold medal  at the  convocation of Kashmir University  today. He was the topper from Central University Kashmir in mathematics and got first position by securing 93 % marks in the year 2015-16. Relatives and friendshave congratulated Mr Gazi and his family on this grand success.Majid Ali waniand Naseera Akthar from Ghat have expressed joy and happiness  and conveyed their best wishes and congratulations to him.
