DDC Reviews Physical and Financial progress of RDD

DODA, JANUARY 20: District Development Commissioner Doda, Bhawani Rakwal today chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial progress of various development works taken up under Rural Development schemes.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Doda Yoginder Katoch, Assistant Commissioner Development Doda Akhter Qazi, Project Officer IWMP Doda , All BDOs of the District , AEEs/ JEs besides VLWs and JRS of the rural development department .

While reviewing the block wise progress, the DDC expressed displeasure over the slow pace of work under MGNREGA, PMAY and IAY, SBM, FC 13th/14th, CD Panchayat, Watershed, SAGY, MPLADS and CDF.

Keeping in view small working season of the area DDC directed all BDOs to accelerate the pace of work in their respective areas and stressed on adoption of more innovative methods in various schemes and involvement of common masses in the development process.

He directed the officials to convene regular meetings at panchayat level for the preparation of plan. Besides asked the deptt to create assets of common interests for the rural areas.

Doda Boy Gazi Bashir Wani Awarded Gold Medal By Kashmir University. BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  Gazi Bashir Wani S/O Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Shakeela Begum of Ghat village in Doda district has been awarded  gold medal  at the  convocation of Kashmir University  today. He was the topper from Central University Kashmir in mathematics and got first position by securing 93 % marks in the year 2015-16.
