DDC Doda finalizes Republic Day arrangements.

DODA, JANUARY 22: Deputy Commissioner, Doda Bhawani Rakwal today convened a meeting to finalize the arrangements for Republic Day 2018 celebrations at Doda.

  

      During the meeting, it was decided that the main function shall be held at sports stadium where the VIP shall unfurl the National flag and take Salute at the March Past continents drawn by various belt forces and school students whereas in case of inclement weather the function shall be held at District Police Line Doda.

      DDC took detailed review of the arrangements pertaining to security, sanitation, medicare , power and water supply and directed the concerned departments to put in place all the necessary arrangements by 25th evening for the smooth celebrations of National Festival.

    He constituted various committees headed by senior officers of district administration within overall supervision of ADC Doda and directed them to do their allotted works well in time and make the event a big success. 

     DDC directed EO Municipal committee Doda to beautify the town by illuminating the government buildings and ensure proper sanitation in the town especially in and around the venue.

  Similarly other departments were asked to gear their men and machinery and participate in the national festival with great zeal.

        The meeting was attended by ADC Doda Pawan Kumar, ACR Doda Tariq Hussain Naik, CPO Yoginder katoch, Dy SP Hq Iftikhar Ahmed, XEN of various departments, CEO Doda, DSWO, Tehsildar and  other Officers of line departments.

Doda Boy Gazi Bashir Wani Awarded Gold Medal By Kashmir University. BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  Gazi Bashir Wani S/O Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Shakeela Begum of Ghat village in Doda district has been awarded  gold medal  at the  convocation of Kashmir University  today. He was the topper from Central University Kashmir in mathematics and got first position by securing 93 % marks in the year 2015-16.
