Demand PG Classes, New Subjects for GDC Doda.

Doda::Doda Civil Society in collaboration with District Rural Youth Welfare Association and other social and trade unions today held a protest demonstration at district headquarters Doda. The protest was held to show the resentment towards the negligent attitude of the PDP BJP government towards the education sector in Chenab region in general and Doda district in particular. 

    

Naseer Ahmed Khora convener of the Civil Society Doda alleged that the state government has not fulfilled the genuine demands of the people of entire Chenab Valley and despite repeated assurances all the colleges of the region have been deprived of their due share. 

     

Speaking on the occasion spokesperson of Doda Civil Society Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev condemned state government for alleged discrimination with Doda particularly in the field of higher education. He said that the government has ignored GDC Doda. He demanded opening of PG classes in GDC Doda and construction of class rooms in the premises of Degree college Doda. Mr Ishtiaq Dev also demanded introduction of new courses study at undergraduate level. He informed that the matter of starting PG classes and other courses at Doda college was brought into the notice of CM Mehbooba Mufti earlier and during her recent visit to Doda as well and she assured action but the situation has not changed yet. 

    

Fareed Ahmed Naik president DRYWA also criticised the negligent attitude of the government and alleged that the government is playing with the career of the youth of Doda. 

  

President Doda Development Front  Doda Ghulam Hassan Pampori in his speech alleged that the successive state governments have ignored the Chenab region and have failed to fulfill the long pending demands of the people of erstwhile Doda district. He said that the Federation will always extend full support to the civil society in fighting for the cause of people of erstwhile Doda district. He demanded that the government should fulfill the long demands of Doda people at the earliest possible to avoid any  confrontation .
