69th Republic Day celebrated at Bhalla

BHALLA, JAN 26. Like other parts of the country and state, the 69th Republic Day was celebrated at Army Camp Bhalla today with great
enthusiasm and fervour. Tehsildar Bhalla Dr Amir Zargar was the chief
guest on the occasion who unfurled the tricolour and took salute
of the March past contingents of JKP.
While addressing the gathering on the eve of 69th Republic Day, Dr
Zargar remembered the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters during
the freedom struggle of the country. He also counted the sacrifices
made by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army and Paramilitary
forces in maintaining peace and brotherhood in the state.
Dr Zargar cautioned the people of the region to remain vigilant
against the anti-social and anti-national forces that are bent upon to
disturb the peaceful and harmonious atmosphere of the region. He said
peace and prosperity is required for the growth and development of the
region. He appreciated the people of the area for maintaining age old
tradition of brotherhood and communal harmony. He highlighted the
various Central and State Govt schemes and asked the people to take
the benefit from these schemes.

   Later on, different colourful cultural programmes were presented by
the various school children which exhibited the rich cultural and
traditional heritage of the region. Tehsildar Bhalla also distributed
prizes among the participants on the  occasion. BDO Bhalla Mr Tahir
Malik, ZEO Bhalla , ZPEO Bhalla, Incharge Police Post Bhalla Mr Sunil
Parihar, Naib Tehsildar Bhalla Mr Sanjay Kumar, JE PHE, AEE I&FC, TSO
Bhalla, AEO Bhalla besides O/C 4 RR B'Coy and other officials of
various departments like Education, Health, Revenue, PHE, Rural
Development, Irrigation, Agriculture, Police, Army, ex-Sarpanches,
ex-servicemen, students and a huge gathering of people attended the
function.
