Dussehra , Vijay Dashmi Celebrated Peacefully Across Doda.

Doda::     The festival of Dussehra that symbolizes the victory of righteousness over evil was today celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety across  Doda district.  

     

At Doda the celebrations began with the taking out Shobha Yatra  and culminated with the burning of the effigies of Ravana, 

Kumbhkaran, and Meghnath. Large number people from all walks of life participated in the Dussehra procession at  . They chanted mantras and raised slogans of 'Dharam Ki Jai' and 'Adharam ka Nash Ho '.   

     

 Reports of celebrating Dussehra and Vijaya Dashmi  have been received from various parts of Doda including  Arnora,  Ghat,  , Birshalla, Koti, Bhagwah, Kastigarh, Dessa, Kuluhand, Seel, Ugad, Dudwah, Shaie, Gadyari, Shiva, Khalleni, Assar and many other places .

    

 People prayed for peace prosperity and mutual harmony on the occasion of Vijaya Dashmi and greeted each other with good wishes. 

   

 Meanwhile many social and political organizations have greeted people on the occasion of Vijaya Dashmi and Dussehra.MLA Doda Sh Shakti Raj Parihar also greeted the people on this occasion and  appealed to maintain peace and communal harmony .

Doda Boy Gazi Bashir Wani Awarded Gold Medal By Kashmir University. BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  Gazi Bashir Wani S/O Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Shakeela Begum of Ghat village in Doda district has been awarded  gold medal  at the  convocation of Kashmir University  today. He was the topper from Central University Kashmir in mathematics and got first position by securing 93 % marks in the year 2015-16.
