Cellular Connectivity Extended to Remotest Village of Kishtwar

BY ABID PAMPORI

Doda ::Sondar village is an extremely remote village in kishtwar District with very less population.  road connectivity does not exist to sondar.  This remote location in Kishtwar district remains in winters due to poor infrastructure.  The region is so backward that even mobile phone services has not even reached this village.

In past four months with the joint efforts of Army and BsNL has led to the installation of BSNL mobile tower at Sondar.  Installation of mobile and the effort required involved enormous coordination between Indian Army and BSNL.

The stores for the tower,  communication equipment were transported to Sondar over a period of 4 months.  The mobile services Sondar commenced recently and has been a boon for the people of Sondar and surrounding villages.

This gesture has given immense relief to the population of this remote village of J&K and shall go a long way not only in strengthening public's faith in the administration and the government but also help in social and economic development of remote J&K.

The event perfect display of synergy between Army,  BSNL and the Civil administration.
