DODA,SEPT 05::Prof.(Dr.)Javaid lqbal  HOD Botany Govt. PG college Bhaderwah brought Laurel to the college & jk state for getting a highly prestigious & coveted "BAHARAT JYOTI PURASKAR"for meritorious services ,outstanding performance, remarkable role & exemplary services in higher education deptt.The nomination for this prestigious award   is based on extensive survey  and nomination by competent authority to identify the dynamic men and women  of the country .The award has been given in recognition of my services & this will help me to work with more zeal and enthusiasm Dr. Javaid said.This award is also an honour to my parents & teachers who sharpened my intellect,he said . The people from fields of higher education, politics, research ,cine stars & Social services   55 in number were awarded on the occasion at new Delhi.Dr. Javaid has been earlier also awarded with "shiksha Rattan puraskar" by IIFS Delhi, Master of ceremony Award by      
Indian Army &  many medels  awards presented by other organizations.

Young Educated Candidates Eager to Contest Panchayat Elections, BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  After the successful completion  of the elections to  ULBs and the issuance of notification for panchayat elections  the process to  elect the representatives for  panchayats in J&K has begun.  The filing of nomination by the  contesting  candidates is going on in phased manner and many young and well educated faces are coming forward to participate in these  elections. Doda Boy Gazi Bashir Wani Awarded Gold Medal By Kashmir University. BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  Gazi Bashir Wani S/O Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Shakeela Begum of Ghat village in Doda district has been awarded  gold medal  at the  convocation of Kashmir University  today. He was the topper from Central University Kashmir in mathematics and got first position by securing 93 % marks in the year 2015-16. Relatives and friendshave congratulated Mr Gazi and his family on this grand success.Majid Ali waniand Naseera Akthar from Ghat have expressed joy and happiness  and conveyed their best wishes and congratulations to him.
