Director Environment, Ecology and Remote Sensing delivers 'Tree Talk' at GDC Doda

Doda::Director Environment, Ecology and Remote Sensing Mr OP Sharma Vidyarthi (IFS) delivers 'Tree Talk' at GDC Doda today. The lecture was followed by an interactive session in the college lawns. The event was organised by the department of Botany under the overall guidance of Dr Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi, Principal GDC Doda. The proceedings were conducted by Dr Tasir Sharief HOD Botany and the vote of thanks was presented by Prof Younis. 

Mr Vidyarthi delivered a very interesting and interactive lecture. He stressed upon the conservation of natural resources through indigenous knowledge. Through a very impressive power point presentation he highlighted the rich flora of district Doda and suggested that the  medicinal values of the plants should be known to one and all.

The principal thanked the resource person and congratulated the organisers for taking an initiative. He stressed upon all the faculty members to organise such events in future as well. 

After the lecture, the resource person interacted with the students in the college lawns. He gave a detailed description of the plants and answered the queries put forth by the students

Doda Boy Gazi Bashir Wani Awarded Gold Medal By Kashmir University. BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  Gazi Bashir Wani S/O Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Shakeela Begum of Ghat village in Doda district has been awarded  gold medal  at the  convocation of Kashmir University  today. He was the topper from Central University Kashmir in mathematics and got first position by securing 93 % marks in the year 2015-16.
