Hanail- Sheya Dhar Yatra Concludes.

Doda:: The annual Chandi Mata Yatra from Hanail Gadyari to Shiya Dhar (Chandi Top ) commenced on 27th of June and culminated  on 30th June after paying obeisance at the holy temple of the Deity situated at Shiya Dhar in tehsil Bharath Bagla of Doda district. Despite heavy rains and inclement weather conditions hundreds of devotees including women and children participated in the Yatra with religious fervour and gaiety and the pilgrimage culminated smoothly and peacefully. 

   The Yatra is a historic event and is being  organized  annually by a local organization'Chandi Mata Shardha Sanstha'under the aegis of Chandi Mata Yatra Development Trust (Chandi Top) Shiya Dhar Doda. 

    The holy Mace from the 'Mool Asthan' at Hanail Gadyari is taken to the Holy Temple at Shiya Dhar and after having the holy darshans and performing religious rituals it returns and the Yatra concludes. Thousands of devotees visit this Holy place every year especially during the summer .

    Giving details of the yatra President of 'Chandi Mata Shardha Sanstha' said that despite unfavourable weather conditions the Yatra remained peaceful and all the devotees returned home safe and sound. He said that the civil administration and police department along with Indian Army  gave full cooperation and help in making the yatra successful . On behalf of the  organisers he conveyed  gratitude to the district administration, police and  army especially the 10 RR.

Doda Boy Gazi Bashir Wani Awarded Gold Medal By Kashmir University. BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  Gazi Bashir Wani S/O Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Shakeela Begum of Ghat village in Doda district has been awarded  gold medal  at the  convocation of Kashmir University  today. He was the topper from Central University Kashmir in mathematics and got first position by securing 93 % marks in the year 2015-16.
