DIET Organized District Level Debate Competition

Doda:: 26th July, 2017 a District Level Debate Competition on theme of " BETI BACHAO, BETI PADAO" was held at DIET Doda under the Chairmanship of Principal DIET Doda. In which 21 students from different schools of all zones except Thathri and Bhatyas across the District participated.

The first position was gained by Miss Qurat-ul-Ain student of Govt. Hr. Sec. School (Girls)Doda. Second position was shared by Miss Bhumika Dutt of Malwa & Miss Sofia Banoo of Govt. Hr. Sec. School Bhagwah. Third position was for by Miss Muskan Kotwal of Govt. High School Manthala Zone Bhaderwah with two consultation prizes to Mr. Umar Rasheed of Govt. High School Chattra and Miss Mannu Sharma of Govt. Hr. Sec. School (Girls) Doda.

The Chief Education Officer Doda, was the chief guest and Mr.Slah-Ud-Din, Cultural Officer Doda was guest of honour on this occasion. The chief guest appreciated the initiative/mission launched by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Sh. Narinder Modi. He stressed upon the immediate eradication of social crime which is prevalent in the society with regard to the sex discrimination, dowry system, female feticide, gender and other social bios.

After prize distribution ceremony, vote of thanks was presented by Sh. Sudesh Raina HOD, DIET Doda who is also incharge of E T Wing.

Young Educated Candidates Eager to Contest Panchayat Elections, BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  After the successful completion  of the elections to  ULBs and the issuance of notification for panchayat elections  the process to  elect the representatives for  panchayats in J&K has begun.  The filing of nomination by the  contesting  candidates is going on in phased manner and many young and well educated faces are coming forward to participate in these  elections. Doda Boy Gazi Bashir Wani Awarded Gold Medal By Kashmir University. BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  Gazi Bashir Wani S/O Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Shakeela Begum of Ghat village in Doda district has been awarded  gold medal  at the  convocation of Kashmir University  today. He was the topper from Central University Kashmir in mathematics and got first position by securing 93 % marks in the year 2015-16. Relatives and friendshave congratulated Mr Gazi and his family on this grand success.Majid Ali waniand Naseera Akthar from Ghat have expressed joy and happiness  and conveyed their best wishes and congratulations to him.
