AISF,  Demands Monitoring of Mid -day- Meal

Quality Education is Still a Distant Dream DRYWA.

BY ABID PAMPORI

Doda::  Many flagship schemes were introduced to improve both the quantity and quality of education in our state but most of these have not been utilized properly due to the negligence of authorities at the helm of affairs

The Mid-day - Meal scheme was launched to serve balanced diet to school children up to elementary level but it is only on papers whereas ground realities are contrary. No doubt  this scheme is being implemented in some government schools properly and the students are taking full advantage of the scheme but there are still many areas where sub standard and unhygienic food is being served to the school children and instead of getting nutrition they suffer many health hazards.

Talking to the media persons on the issue Mukesh Parihar national council member of AISF alleged that the  authorities in education department entrusted with the job of monitoring and checking the prestigious schemes are lenient and the innocent school children are deprived of the benefits of such schemes while funds worth lakhs of rupees are being spent in the name of MDM and other centrally sponsored schemes meant for the welfare of the children.

Meanwhile president DRYWA (NGO) Farid Ahmed Naik also alleged that the government is making tall claims to impart quality education to the school children but it seems still a distant dream as there are such schools also where the children are not being taught how to read and write. There are some schools in rural areas of Doda district where teachers visit their respective schools just to mark their attendaby unce and return back.

The question arises that who is responsible for all this? The answer to this simple but important mquestioln

The All India Stuudents Federation AISF and other many social organizations including the District Rural Youth Welfare Association DRYWA have always raised the issues pertaining to education across Doda district and their sole objective is to improve our education system so that the basic rights of the innocent children are not violated. Once again they urge the government to ensure proper monitoring in educating department to achieve the goal .
