Students of Doda Villages risk life to reach school

Doda:;:The students of Govt. High School Shadiwanday hailing from villages banshalla and Malwana have to cross a Brook (Nalla ) fully loaded with high pressure water daily and due to the absence of the bridge these students are forced to cross the balls through wooden logs .

The rural development department has sanctioned a bridge for village Banshalla (Malwana East) where recently and the villagers of the said village want to construct this bridge at this Brook for the safety of the students and others. 

The construction of this bridge is to be initiated by BDO GUNDNA and the said BDO has started the construction of this bridge at another place of Banshalla where it is not needed. 

The villagers convened an emergency meeting to discuss this issue and took the matter with the concerned JE who brought it to the notice of BDO Gundna but he has given direction to the executing agency to complete this work as soon as possible and paid no heed to the grievances of the people. 

The inhabitants of hamlet Banshalla Malwana have urged Hon'ble MLA DODA , DDC Doda  and ACD Doda to look into the matter and stop the unnecessary construction of the said bridge and issue directions for construction of bridge where needed

Doda Boy Gazi Bashir Wani Awarded Gold Medal By Kashmir University. BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  Gazi Bashir Wani S/O Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Shakeela Begum of Ghat village in Doda district has been awarded  gold medal  at the  convocation of Kashmir University  today. He was the topper from Central University Kashmir in mathematics and got first position by securing 93 % marks in the year 2015-16.
