NSS unit GDC Doda Celebrates world health  day

Doda::;NSS GDC unit Doda celebrate world health day 2017 with the focus of current year theme by WHO "Depression:let's talk" enthusiastically. NSS unit GDC doda organised symposium on the topic "stress management " followed by the guest lecture by prominent Doctor of District hospital doda Dr. Irfan tasaduq(ASCOM).

Programme began with the welcome address by professor Vishally Sharma, Programme Officer NSS unit GDC Doda.In her speech she threw light on the significance of the day and the theme of 2017.

She appreciated the efforts of Dr jamsheed Ahmad( English) who took active participation in the organisation of the programme. 

Dr. R.K.Raina Principal GDC doda lauded the efforts of the programme officer NSS unit GDC Doda and the volunteers for organising such programme. 

Dr. Irfan tasaduq had an interactive and informative session with students and the staff. He spoke on various types of the depression, causes and remedies. He emphasised on good eating habits, an importance of interaction with family and friends and insisted on physical activities like yoga and sports.

Eight students participated in the symposium. Symposium was adjudged by Dr Waheed Khawar Balwan ( zoology), Prof Falak (English ) and Prof Bashir (history). 

Later on a formal vote of thanks was presented by Professor Bashir ( Physics)

All the teaching , non-teaching faculty and around 80 volunteers were present on the occasion.

    Would love to represent GDC Bhadarwah in GDC Doda sometime. Would be fun to blow the Sarazis apart.

Doda Boy Gazi Bashir Wani Awarded Gold Medal By Kashmir University. BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  Gazi Bashir Wani S/O Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Shakeela Begum of Ghat village in Doda district has been awarded  gold medal  at the  convocation of Kashmir University  today. He was the topper from Central University Kashmir in mathematics and got first position by securing 93 % marks in the year 2015-16. Relatives and friendshave congratulated Mr Gazi and his family on this grand success.Majid Ali waniand Naseera Akthar from Ghat have expressed joy and happiness  and conveyed their best wishes and congratulations to him.
