Doda:: A massive convention was today held held at New Community Hall Doda under the banner of Gram Swarajya Manch. Thousands of people including women and children from 270 villages of erstwhile district Doda attended the Sammelan 

Sh Madhvendra Singh International General secretary of Gram Swarajya Manch was the chief speaker of the program and Sh Shakti Raj Parihar Hon'ble MLA Doda was the chief guest  while Mahamandleshwar Swami Divyanand Sarswati was the guest of honour on the occasion. 

  

 In the beginning session of the sammelan a colourful program depicting the socio-cultural aspects was presented by the children from various villages. Assessing the gathering international general secretary of Gram Swarajya Manch Sh Madhvendra Singh said that the organization is active in fifty-five thousand villages across the country and in Jammu and Kashmir there are 3600 villages where it is actively working for the welfare of rural population and there are more than 6500 volunteers devoted to this mission. Sh Madhvendra Singh said that the volunteers and members of the organization are working for the development and welfare of people living in villages. He announced that the power of common masses is above all and the time has come when we need to prove that we are united and fighting for our rights. He also gave a detailed account of the organization and Various flagship programs of the Manch. 

 Speaking on the occasion Sh Shakti Raj Parihar hon'ble MLA Doda appreciated the efforts of the volunteers and  the village committees in educating the rural population and creating awareness among the masses. He also announced to adopt twent vidyalayas. Hon'ble MLA assured the gathering that he is always ready to serve the people of the area and is working on the guidelines of Hon'ble Prime Minister of India.

Swami Divyanand Sarswati Mahamandleshwar in his address stressed on the protection of the cultural heritage and develop the  character and self esteem of each and every individual of the society. He appealed the audience to devote their deeds towards the development and welfare of the nation and society. 

 

 Sh Angrez Singh in charge Chander Bhaga Circle presented the vote of thanks.
