Dranga Sudhmahadev tunnel on NH 244 ready to be constructed.

Doda::It is a great time for the public of Marmat in particular and Jammu and Kashmir in General that today GM Vijay Kumar NHIDCL along with Wadia Association, Zooma Engineering Unit from Headoffice Temurnagar New Delhi, Site Engineer Aslam Sohail, and Taseen Ahmed JE Technical Department Engineering services of India DGM Pardeep Sharma and Mayank Joshi, Noor (Highways) and Mohd Talib visited Daranga Marmat for the spot visit.

Approximately 100 local people were present at the actual site and took a scenario  of the work to be done.

DGM Pardeep Sharma from Technical wing of Engineering Services of India talking on the occasion said that Detailed project Report will be complete soon as we have already invited tender last month and after that construction work of Dranga Sudhmahadev tunnel will be started.

We are going to build 2 or 3 tube like tunnels on Kalhota Khellani Road as the area I have seen is a sinking zone and construction work on NH 244 will damage Batote Kishtwar highway.

Pardeep Sharma said that Tenders were invited from the Construction Companies for the same work and finally NHIDCL has been finalized for the work and hopefully work will be in progress very soon.

He further said that this is possible only after the day night efforts of local Member Parliament Namely Dr Jatinder Singh Presently PMO to Honable Prime Minister of India Sh, Narinder Damodar Dass Modi, MLA Doda Sh Shakti Raj Parihar and ministry of Highways Govt of India.

Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Mandal Pardhan Marmat Sh Suresh Sharma and Shakeel Ahmed Minority Mandal Pardhan BJP Marmat were present on the occasion.

Talking to the Technical personals from NHIDCL and others he asked them about the details of the project and Mr Pardeep Sharma said that it is 100%true that work is to be done but may be it will take little bit time to get started.

People from different villages of Illaqa Marmat were present on the spot and they thanked NHIDCL, Govt of India in general and Govt of Jammu and Kashmir in particular especially People thanked Dr Jatinder Singh PMO to Hon'able Prime Minister Narinder Modi and MLA Doda Sh Shakti Parihar for thier zest and zeal for the construction of this tunnel and Highways on Khellani Goha Sudhmahadev. 

Same has been today updated on Google with the name of Drang-Sudhmahadev Tunnel. He further said.

Mr Sharma Mandal Pardhan BJP Marmat told Mr Pardeep Sharma that we have Tourist spots along with this track and i thik it will be better to mention in your DPR like, Shiv Garh, Sudhmahadev, Derha top, Chota Manimahesh Ram Rachna and Snora Top.
