Warm send off  given to  Mohammad Sharif Balwan BY ABID PAMPORI  A warm send off was given to Mohammad Sharif Balwan lecturer Mathematics Govt Hr Sec School Girls Doda,who superannuated   from Education Department today after rendering at least  36 years of service. He was appointed as teacher in 1980 and subsequently promoted to the level of lecturer in discipline of  mathematics. During his service career of 36 years he worked in far flung areas of the Doda as teacher,master and lecturer.He remained well known Maths Teacher and benefited the students. ReT teachers protest in Doda over pending demands*  BY ABID PAMPORI  Doda::An agitated mob of sloganeering teachers gathered  to protest for their various demands including streamlining of salaries of SSA teachers, implementation of transfer policy and regularization policy.  Ahead of new academic session, Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers’ forum on Wednesday held a protest in Doda and also  locked down schools for their demands which are not fulfilled by the government. The protest brought Town center to standstill and also halted traffic in the area. Residents allege use of inferior material in construction of canal BY ABID PAMPORI  Doda::Peoples of village gulamna pershulla are not happy with the ongoing construction of irrigation cannel from assisi nalla to gulmana .As this canal is the only source of irrigation for more than 1000 kanals of land but the material used for the construction cleraly reveals that this cannal will not survive for more than six months.  While talking to one of the local social activist Wahid Hussain informed that the material used is not proper as no sand is being used and instead of this cheap quality of dust is being used that seems to be improper for the construction,the ratio used for concrete purpuse seems to b 1/more than 15.  Another social activist Zakir Hussain Mir revealed that the main contractor who has taken up this work has given this work to a hired self styled contractor. Various organizations protest in Doda BY ABID PAMPORI  Doda, Apr 14: Residents of Doda led by representatives of various social, political, religious and traders-organization today staged a protest in Doda against the rape and murder of minor in Kathua area and increasing incidents of rapes and murder cases in other states.  A procession was taken out which started from Nehru Chowk Doda and culminated at old bus stand Doda. The protesting people raised slogans against state and central government and Bar Associations of Kathua and Jammu. At old Bus stand a dharna was also staged demanding action against the culprits of murder and rape. Students ,Parents Threaten Agitation Against Transfer of Principal. GHSS Ghat BY ABID PAMPORI  Doda::The students and their parents have expressed resentment over the mid term transfer of Shahida Khan Principal Govt Hr.Sec.School Ghat who has been transferred to HSS Girls Doda.      Reacting to the government order No .528 dt 09.04.2018 the students and parents alleged that the interest of the students is not taken into consideration while effecting transfers in of principals and teachers. They  have urged the hon'ble minister for education to intervene and revoke the transfer order of the said principal. They also threatened to hold protest  in case their demand is not conceded by the government. Talking to the news agency Ifra Wani student of 12th standard said that government should abstain from the practice of premature transfer of  the head of institution in the larger interest of student community .
