Govt Committed to Provide Basic Amenities to  People Living in Far-flung Areas: Shahab Ul Haque Butt

Doda : People's Democratic Party District President Doda Shahab ul Haque Butt today said that the state Government is committed to provide all basic amenities to people living in  far flung areas.

Shahab, was on a one day tour to Ludna, Gundna and Abli Masri areas in Gundna block of Doda constituency, . He said this while addressing a worker's meeting at Gundna area.

Highlighting Government’s concern for people especially living in far off areas, the PDP leader said 'since Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has come from grassroot level, she understands the issues of people better. 

Shahab also criticized the previous regime  and accused them of misusing the funds and position and accused them for failing to address the multiple problems of people. Shahab blamed the  Former MLA Doda for deliberately neglecting the people living in far-flung areas and said that the worst condition of people in these areas is indicative of non- serious and callous attitude of previous government.

Shahab said the welfare of people living in far flung areas is one of the primary concerns of present government and the hon'ble Chief Minister has issued strict directions to the concerned authorities to ensure that people in the far flung areas do not face any kind of scarcity of basic amenities.

 While highlighting new initiatives taken for uplift of people living in remote areas, he said the CM keeps on seeking update regarding the ongoing developmental steps taken for the welfare of the people living in far flung areas.

Shahab was also apprised by the people of few very pressing issues which include lack of infrastructure for the higher secondary school where the school building has been built but not handed over to the school.

People complained that the Gundna -Dhara road is being constructed at below par standards.The contractor has leased the work to someone else and nobody supervises the construction.

The locals also complained that tehsil office is non functional as the tehsildar does not sit in his office. Shahab was taken to the concerned office by the people and he found it locked.

 It is pertinent to mention that in her recent public darbar held at Doda the CM had ordered the shifting of ZEO office from Premnagar to Gundna but the order has not been complied with till date .

Shahab assured the people that their grievances will be addressed with immediate action.

Shahab was accompanied by several other prominent leaders of the area including Tariq Hussain Sheikh, Rashid Zargar, Ghulam Muhammad Butt, Abdul Rehman Lawai.
