DDC Reviews implementation of Pulse Polio

Doda, January 16th:- District Development Commissioner Doda Bhawani Rakwal today  convened a meeting of District Task Force to discuss modalities for effective implementation of intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme (Phase-1st) scheduled to be held on 28th January 2018.

 During the meeting, CMO Doda Dr Wajid Ali Najar, gave power point presentation and briefed about preparedness of Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization phase 1st round is scheduled on 28th of January 2018. He said that as many as 531 vaccination booths would be setup in different parts of the district during the campaign to cover 76952 children of 0-5 years for vaccination.

The DDC directed the concerned officers to focus on high risk areas including slums and nomadic populations where chances of polio are on the higher side.

 DC deliberated upon various arrangements put in place for the immunization programme including deployment of medical and para-medical staff, training of health workers, transportation arrangements, besides awareness programmes.

He stressed for adopting concrete and effective measures to achieve 100% target in the district.

CMO Doda, DY CMO, ARTO Doda, officer and officials of health department and other concerned attended the meeting.
