Ekal Abhiyan J&K Organized  Halfyearly Meeting of Bhag' Chanderbhaga '

Doda:: The two days half-yearly meeting of Ekal Abhiyan's Chanderbhaga Bhag was held at  Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Bhaderwah.Prabhari Karyakarta Vibhag Sh Surya Parkash was the chief guest on this occasion while Shri Shri 1008 Swami Divyanand Sarswati Mahamandleshwar Ji was the guest of honour on this occasion.

 All the mission in charges (Abhiyan Pramukhs) of Bhaderwah  ,Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban along with the Aanchal  and Sanch level volunteers and Smitti members were present in the meeting .

Sh Neeraj Thakur Sambhag Pramukh gave the details of aims and objectives of Ekal Abhiyan and also announced the future course of action in Jammu and Kashmir . He also exhorted the Bhag, Aanchal and Sanch Smittis to work with zest and dedication and ensure the implementation of various schemes aimed at creating awareness and welfare of people living in rural areas at grass root level.

The valedictory session was held on 22 October Sunday and Sh Angrez Singh Rana president Bhag Chanderbhaga presented the vote of thanks on this occasion. Prominent among those who were present in the meeting were Sh Bhim  Sen, Sh Vipan Sharma, Sh Ashok Kotwal,Sh Prahlad Kumar Sh Raj Singh ,Sh Puri Singh Rana and Jasbir Singh.


It is pertinent to mention here that Ekal Abhiyan is a social movement launched by the Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation of India NGO and it aims to provide the basic education to the children of the underprivileged living in rural and tribal areas across the country. At present there are more than sixty thousand single teacher schools in India and the funds are raised by the EVFI through donations.

Doda Boy Gazi Bashir Wani Awarded Gold Medal By Kashmir University. BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::  Gazi Bashir Wani S/O Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Shakeela Begum of Ghat village in Doda district has been awarded  gold medal  at the  convocation of Kashmir University  today. He was the topper from Central University Kashmir in mathematics and got first position by securing 93 % marks in the year 2015-16. Relatives and friendshave congratulated Mr Gazi and his family on this grand success.Majid Ali waniand Naseera Akthar from Ghat have expressed joy and happiness  and conveyed their best wishes and congratulations to him.
