Projected demands before RDD officers*

Kahra: People's Democratic Party District President Kishtwar Sheikh Nasir Hussain Advocate visited Bhatyas/ Jhakyas area of Inderwal constituency and met party workers and listend their grievances. Latter a deputation of People’s Democratic Party Activists (PDP), led by District President  Sheikh Nasir, called on Officers of Rural Development Department including Astt Commissioner Doda Qazi Akhtar who too was on tour and Block Development Officer Jhakyas Idrees Lone and highlighted some genuine demands for early redressal.
The demands included immediate release of pending wages under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employee Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS). Besides immediate release of wages, the deputation also demanded that work be allotted for the job card holders for the current financial year also.
The deputation also projected demands for holding gram sabhas in every Panchayat. Giving patient hearing to the deputation, ACD and BDO assured to concede the demands. BDO assured the deputation that the wages  will be paid soon, however he asked all the job card holders to activate their bank accounts.
Among others who comprised the deputation include District General S8ecretary Abdul Kabir Butt, District Vice President Abdul Rehman, Block President PDP Bhatyas Tariq Hussain, Alafad Hussain, Waseem Ahmad Ahmad Tak, Tanveer Abass Ganie, Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, Barkat Ali Butt, Abdul Latif Butt, and Niaz Ahmad Butt.
