Culture On The Brink Of Obsolescence

By Rajesh Mangas

Few months ago I met a high browed personality from Ramnagar Tehsil of District Udhampur(anonymous). Might she was former student from Jammu University. One of the most radical thing I recognized in her was her's commitment and dedication towards advocacy of Dogra culture in the aisles of Dogra dynasty. An allegory relates to her life is worth interesting but due to lack of space and time, it's not accessible to make any further breakdown regards her enthusiasm, faithfulness and adherence. Her passion and obsession is noteworthy and undeniably praiseworthy. We must take ''hat of to her's" courage, audacity and determination.

Efforts from such type of extraordinary personalities warrant us to contribute something for the society in a manner as that girl is doing. Moreover we shouldn't be inspired by her's accomplishments but we must recite a lesson from her.

There are a large no of wringers blowing up in my mentality regarding our culture. Why do we lack ethics on ethnology? Is religion a hindrance to culture? Where does our culture stand when concept of freedom comes on our mind? Does Western culture is putting kibosh on Indian culture?

But One thing is clear, Whatever we got about culture from our heritage is on the verge of annihilation and that day isn't far away when term like culture will be treated as ''thing of past'' 😶😶😶😶😶😶.

On the other hand, culture is the refinement of mind-- head and heart both. The inner self reaches at a new high if a man is cultured. Being culture includes various aspects of life Such as quality of speaking, singing, dancing,  art and other many higher pursuits of life which are usually termed as cultural activities.

Let me convey you with some archetypes. Natively one of my friends is Sarazi by ascent and he doesn't want to conversate with others in congenital terminology instead he is focusing in making hold on English, hindi and Urdu vernacular systems. Undoubtedly this is the case with one and all. In an epoch of mechanisation, we are burying one's head in sand by scorning our Morales.

The appellation requires a great attention and a big cogitation. Feeling penitent! I haven't handle this topic in a proper manner.....
