ReT Teachers submits memorandum of demands to SDM BY ABID PAMPORI Doda, Aug 28: RET Teachers of subdivision Thathri under the leadership of Naseer Ahmed Butt today submitted memorandum of demands to the State government through SDM Thathri. The demands included that graduate and post graduate teachers should be deputed directly to B.Ed and 12th pass teachers from JKBOSE and all the recognized Universities of India through distance mode. It has been also demanded that the teachers should not be bound to do D.el Ed from NIOS where the eligibility for registration for D el Ed is above 50 whereas most of the teachers don't fall under this criteria.

GDC Doda organized  quiz competition BY ABID PAMPORI Doda::An intra-college quiz competition was held at Govt Degree College Doda today. The quiz was organised by the department of History under the guidence of Prof Mohd Ashraf (HOD History). The winners of the quiz competition were appreciated by the principal Dr Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi in his address. Later on  mementos and general knowledge books were distributed among them. The principal lauded the efforts of the faculty and assured the students that they would be given suitable platforms to nourish their talents. The programme was attended by around two hundred students. It is pertinent to mention here that GDC Doda has been organizing many co-curricular activities for around three months under the patronage of the principal Dr Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi. GDC Doda organised   District Level Urdu Mushaira  BY ABID PAMPORI  Doda::A District Level Urdu Mushaira was organised at Govt Degree College Doda on today . The theme of the  Mushaira was 'National Integration' and it was attended by around thirty poets from the various parts of the erstwhile District Doda. Hon'ble MLC Mr Sham Lal was the Chief Guest on the occasion where as Rector Bhaderwah Campus was the guest of honour. Besides them the police and District administration was present on the occasion. Absence of ZEO hits functioning of educational zone Bhatyas BY ABID PAMPORI Doda, July 31: Since the transfer and postings of incumbent ZEO, the vacuum has not yet filled by the state government, which is still lying vacant, owing to which the office related work has been hit. Delay in posting of ZEO Bhatyas is affectingh the normal functioning of the offices in Bhatyas zone of the district. As per official strength only one post of ZEO is sanctioned which is also lying vacant for the last two months, describing the failure of the authorities to fill the posts, which is eventually hitting the functioning of the Education department at zonal level.
